Cookie Boards & Buttermolds The Cookie Board story begins in the 16th century in the Netherlands and continues today, they are a traditional part of Holland's happiest holiday, St Nicholas. Orginally used to bake cookies in the shape of St Nicholas, they are now decorative art in their own right and come in a variety of designs. Our boards have been handcarved from first quality beechwood and are of both historical and artistic interest; each comes with a recipe and history paper. We offer a large collection of this wonderful piece of folkart. Our interesting selection of traditional buttermolds includes lamb, chicken, cats and a christmas collection. In addition we offer a variety of grandmother's kitchenboards. |
